At Novozymes, Business Finance is
responsible for finance business partnering towards various divisional VP areas
and business areas helping business to drive performance, value creation and
profitability in close partnership with the global Division Leadership Teams.
Finance business partnering in Novozymes is truly mature and on a high level
with very skilled, ambitious and enthusiastic employees. ERP and consolidation
system is SAP and Business Finance and Corporate Finance functions in Novozymes
are well supported by Financial Service Center in India.
The Transformation, Insights & Analytics (TIA) team is part of the
Business Finance organization and plays a pivotal role in enabling Business
Finance to deliver on its winning aspiration: “As Business Partners, we will
enable Novozymes strategy execution and impact decisions to maximize value,
ensure focus on profitable growth and optimize resource allocation. We will
ensure that Business Finance is a great place to work where we can learn and
develop”. Responsibility of the TIA team is: To
design and deliver best in class financial insights & analytics tools including
related steering processes and to drive / participate in key transformation
projects (both for Novozymes and for Finance) and to run the Finance PMO.
Project management, anchoring
and implementing value creating finance projects & tools
Novozymes is looking for a highly capable Sr. Manager, Business Finance
Projects & Transformation who will have a double role: Project Management /
participation in key Finance and Novozymes strategy / business projects and
facilitation of Finance Strategy PMO and also specify, design and support
execution of the financial insights & analytics tools rollout and promotion
activities to achieve high adoption and best possible user experience. The
position is to some extent scalable to match candidate seniority.
In essence, you take point of departure in a ‘CFO mindset’ delivering
projects and tools from a business oriented finance perspective. Stakeholder
management is key in the role and besides CFO exposure and close interaction
with Business Finance teams you get the possibility to interact with senior
executives in all parts of the organization e.g. Commercial / Sales, Strategy,
Production, R&D and external consultancies. Working with them you translate
financial priorities into value adding projects and tools creating business
impact, which is essential. The position reports to the Director of
Transformation, Insights & Analytics whom reports to Vice President,
Business Finance. Responsibilities and activities are broad-ranging and include:
Project Management / participation in key Finance and
Novozymes strategy projects and facilitation of Finance Strategy PMO (approx.
70%)
- Drive / project manage key projects within finance “Grow Value” strategy and Novozymes strategy. This responsibility includes both the core project management activities as well as design and content development. Besides dedicated finance projects examples could be e.g. pricing transparency, Novozymes strategy execution – KPI development / performance management framework, Innovation pipeline transparency etc.
- Own a finance strategy roadmap – facilitate planning / re-prioritization on yearly basis
- Responsible for planning and facilitating extended finance leadership sessions
Design and support execution of financial insights &
analytics tools rollout and promotion to achieve high adoption and best
possible user experience (approx. 30%)
- Design and follow up on annual engagement plan (rollout, change and communication) towards Business Finance and line of business stakeholders
- Support Insights & Analytics team in positioning and rolling out new tools: training, implementation, follow up
- Continuously develop and optimize financial processes and BI tools through engagement with the end users
Location of the
position is Novozymes headquarter in Bagsværd. Estimated travel activity is 0-10
days a year and with great flexibility and work life balance.
Highly capable finance profile with flair for project
management, finance tools and transformation
As Sr. Manager,
Business Finance Projects & Transformation, you possess the following
experience and qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in business administration, finance or economics (e.g. Cand.merc.FIR, MAC, AEF, FSM, ASC, AUD, Cand.polit / oecon or similar)
- At least 4-6 years of relevant experience – gladly more – within finance, some of these focusing on finance project management and -transformation, BI and / or tool development. This could be from roles as Finance Project Manager, Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Finance Process Manager or a background from a financial consultancy providing CFO advisory and finance transformation
- Project-, stakeholder- and change management experience
- An understanding and interest in technology, BI, data structures and data modelling
- Experience with finance business partner disciplines as financial planning, budgeting, forecasting is considered a clear advantage. So is experience within e.g. strategy, commercial, pricing etc.
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and English skills are a must

you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as a founding structure
for solid business acumen and a keen focus on how to enable business
performance through finance projects and tools. You thrive in managing and
participating in strategic and transformation projects backed up by excellent
stakeholder-, communication- and change management abilities. You are a people
person good at building report, promoting an idea and getting buy in. You are
comfortable in being both a team player and driving things independently with
persistence and a “can do attitude”. Finally, curiosity and willingness to
learn and challenge status quo is also essential in the position.

finance roles as e.g. Business Finance Director or strategy / commercial
positions in e.g. Sales or Corporate Strategy / Business Development. The
compensation and benefits package will besides a fixed salary include bonus and company paid pension scheme.
