Scalepoint is a well-established company having
built innovative software solutions since 2000 that make life easier for
insurance companies and the customers they serve. Our core product is a highly
advanced cloud-based software solution, that digitalizes and automates all
aspects of the process that is associated with reporting and procuring a claim
and in doing so significantly improves the insurance customer experience. We
currently employ 190 people and are growing year by year. Most of our employees
work out of our corporate headquarter in Copenhagen, but we also have employees
located in Switzerland and Poland. For the time being, our customers include 26
primarily large insurance companies, most of them from the Nordics, but we also
have large customers on key markets in Europe and are working hard to add more.
In 2019 Scalepoint reported a revenue of
approximately 543 mDKK, EBITDA 43 mDKK and EBIT 11 mDKK and processed 1 million claims with claims

To
ensure that customers experience added value and get the full benefit of
Salespoint’s solutions, Scalepoint is now seeking a Head of PMO & Project
Management with the responsibility to enhance progress and secure overview of
project portfolios. Typically, it is customer adapted projects focusing on
configuration, integration and implementation of Scalepoint products and
solutions into the customers insurance systems. In general, the project
portfolio consists of a combination of customer implementation projects,
strategic development projects and ongoing development workstreams handling
functional and technical maintenance. The IT setup is Agile / Scrum and with
Product Owners and Scrum Masters being responsible for executing deliveries of
projects in the portfolio.
The project management office (PMO) is about to be further strengthened through an integration with the Products Function with the overall purpose to set, maintain and ensure common standards for project management across the organization. In addition, the PMO manages the inflow of projects and acts as keepers of best practices, project status and planning. The PMO centralizes all projects into a single portfolio and establishes governance, methodologies and processes while prioritizing projects (in alliance with Product Management) based on Salespoint’s strategic objectives and customers’ requests. Governance, strong processes, and reporting will enable you to know and report on status and to “predict the future” of the project portfolio – in close collaboration with Finance to assure the financial overview of the portfolio.
Responsibilities
As
Head of PMO & Project Management you have the responsibility for overview, reporting,
governance, processes, resource allocation and promoting progress on Salespoint’s
entire IT- and Product development activities and Professional Services
including customer facing project deliverables. You will act as a “Player
coach” for a team of currently 3 skilled Project Managers and a PMO Analyst. In
the position you are responsible for meeting customer satisfaction and
utilization targets for Scalepoint to allocate resources in the best possible
way.
The
position has top management exposure since successful customer projects are
pivotal to make Scalepoint Europe´s leading insurtech company. Customer
stakeholder management is crucial in the position. The position will also
require extensive internal stakeholder management and cooperation with IT,
Product Management, Customer Management, Sales, Service desk and Finance.
The
PMO team is part of the Products function within Scalepoint, reporting to the
VP of Products, who is reporting to the CEO.
Primary
responsibilities
and tasks undertaken by you and the team you lead:

Implement Scalepoint´s
project model and act as an advocate for the use of best practices and
methodology across the organization, as well as assisting with best fit
implementation methodology selection for each project
·
Help facilitate Scalepoint´s
organization in delivering successful implementation of customer facing
projects according to time, cost, price and quality in a multi stakeholder
environment
·
Ensure overview, governance and transparency
in the projects and their progress, hereunder milestones, success criteria,
risks, reviews with top management etc.
·
Deliver
PMO monthly status and
reporting on entire project portfolio through project- and portfolio metrics
·
Manage inflow of projects in
order not to overwork, overcommit or running idle in end-to-end delivery
process and ensure compliance and security standards are built into the
projects from the beginning
·
Provide resource allocation and -planning support and ensure strategic
alignment of all projects
· Further enhance level, skills and capabilities within project management processes, tools, methods, best practices to support the organization´s ability to successful project execution
·
Ensure clear roles, responsibilities and processes regarding project
planning and -controlling
· Lead, coach and develop your team plus “indirect management” / influence across the entire organization
Location of the position is at Scalepoint’s Headquarter at Aldersrogade
8, 2100 København Ø. Most of Scalepoint’s customers are currently Danish /
Scandinavian based and therefore only limited travelling is expected.
Candidate profile:
As the right candidate
for the position as Head of PMO & Project Management you ideally have:

A relevant master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, Finance, Economics
or the like
·
At least 8-10 years of relevant experience – gladly more – from positions encompassing
PMO, program-, portfolio or heavy project management. It could be from roles as
e.g., Head of PMO, Project Portfolio Manager, Sr. Project Manager, Head of
Delivery or similar in relation to development- and implementation projects
with IT focus
·
Experience from PMO, project portfolio management and / or program
management – in an agile setting
·
May have worked - at some point of time in your career - as an IT- or
management consultant with delivery towards external customers
·
A solid toolbox and possible certification within project- / program
management, PMO and reporting
·
Some experience with people management or as a minimum with heavy project-
and program management. For the right profile this could also be the first
position with direct people management
·
Experience from companies within insurance, IT or other financial industry
such as banking, pension, payment solutions is a plus or experience from other
regulated industries, such as pharma or medical device could also be relevant
·
Superuser of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
·
Fluent in written and spoken Danish and English
