Furthermore, an objective is to further boost SimCorp’s recognition as a professional and pro-active partner of the line organization.
T
he position as Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate HR reports directly to Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. As a member of SimCorp’s Senior Management Team (SMT) and with 8-10 direct reports, it is your mission to ensure that SimCorp has a professional HR function for its headquarters in Copenhagen and a well functioning global HR framework. Given this broad focus, the following job description differentiates between three areas of responsibility; General leadership, GlobalHR and Local (HQ)HR responsibilities.
Approximately 500 of SimCorp’s 1.100 employees are employed in HQ. The 8-10 direct HR reports supporting HQ, are senior profiles with high level competencies, working as specialists within the following areas: Recruitment, Competence & Leadership Development, HR Legal and Global Mobility. There are local / regional HR functions in 7 of the 15 subsidiaries and the total number of indirect reports in de-central HR functions is 12.
Corporate HR has well-defined and well-functioning HR processes, tools, systems and practices within performance management, recruitment, competence management and a management / leadership academy. Challenges over the next years is expected to be supporting and influencing business managers to an even larger extent; anchoring, coordinating and aligning HR processes globally; establishing HR metrics and continuously facilitatating the further development of SimCorp’s already very strong corporate culture. With 2 open positions, the HR department currently faces a growth rather than a reduction scenario.
General leadership responsibilities
- Leading the Corporate HR function in accordance with SimCorp's Leadership principles and SimCorp's values ("We are determinded, enthusiastic and perform with integrity together!")
- Develop the HR operations for headquarters and the group, so that it is recognised externally and internally for its performance, efficiency and service minded culture
- As SMT manager contribute actively to the overall strategic development and the operational management of SimCorp
- Liaise with all SMTs in the SimCorp Group, and the local HR managers
Global HR responsibilities
- SimCorp is known for an extraordinary company culture. Corporate HR must contribute to SimCorp’s ability to keep this high standard and must facilitate potential future cultural change processes accordingly

Establish a platform for efficient communication and co-operation with SimCorp subsidiaries and facilitate the global decision making process regarding the definition and execution of HR strategies in the areas of:
- Recruitment & On-boarding
- Competence Management & Employee Development
- Leadership Development
- Performance Management & Goal Cascading
- Employee Relations (Employment contracts, compensation, benefits, law, working conditions, international assignments).
These HR strategies must excel in the balance between global consistency and the necessity of local practices in a diverse international organisation. Within the area of Employee Relations there is in particular a high degree of responsibility in the de-central legal entities.
Local (HQ) HR responsibilities
- Ensure that all necessary HR functions for SimCorp’s headquarters are available and professionally executed within recruitment, HRD, performance management, HR legal, compensation & benefits etc.
- Ensure that in respect to people management in the headquarter SimCorp conducts its business in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations governing the activities of the company
- Ensure the use and development of globally used processes/tools (Employee Performance Reviews, the competence development solution GROW, 360, Employee Survey).
The position is located at SimCorp’s HQ, Weidekampsgade 16, 2300 Copenhagen S. Expect international travelling to comprise +10 days annually.
Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate holds an MBA or degree on Master level within business, economics, humanities or the like, preferably with specialization in HR. Alternatively the right candidate could have a Business Diploma (HD) in Organisation.
The SVP and Head of Corporate HR has minimum 10 years of HR experience with documented results, as well as a minimum of 5 years experience with management of an HR function. Furthermore, you possess the following qualifications:
- Experience is on Director or VP / SVP level preferably from an international knowledge or R&D intensive company
- A wide and thorough experience, competence and interest within most of the HR disciplines: Recruitment, HRD, performance management, HR legal, compensation & benefits etc.
- Prior experience with people management where you have managed to coach and influence direct reports in a positive way

Knowledge of employment conditions and law in Denmark.
