TDC is the incumbent
telco in Denmark with strong market position, leading mobile network quality,
and 100% customer coverage via fixed assets (across fiber, coax and copper).

TDC Erhverv with approximately 1100 employees and a
revenue of 4,5 billion DKK is undergoing a radical transformation and with a
way of working which is truly agile. As part of turnaround, streamlining and
building a true mass market channel in TDC Erhverv is critical to flatline the
previous trajectory. The offerings of TDC Erhverv is ranging from traditional
connectivity offerings (mobile voice, broadband, fixed line), to collaboration
solutions like Microsoft Teams, cloud-based software, security, IoT, and
advanced network solutions to cater for some of the most sophisticated needs
for Danish enterprise and public sector clients.
The Channel Excellence team is responsible for all
segments across all channels in TDC Erhverv but with initial focus on SMB. Purpose
of the team is to drive and continuously optimize channel performance to
radically turnaround commercial business in TDC Erhverv. The position as Head of Channel Excellence has been
held by a profile with ex tier 1 consulting background whom has now been
internally promoted to a VP position, taking a wider responsibility in the CCO
area. It is expected that the right profile for this role will similarly
progress rapidly into a senior position in TDC Erhverv.
Areas of Responsibility
As Head of Channel Excellence, you will function as Product Owner (day-to-day
leader) for a squad of 8 skilled and dedicated people. The team consists of
some of the most experienced commercial thought leaders in TDC Erhverv and is
widely perceived as a critical enabler between the go-to-market organization
and the sales channels. The team composition is evenly balanced with profiles
ranging from leaders within customer experience and segment management,
experienced analysts and high caliber graduate and student workers. You will be
set direction for the squad and be responsible for the multi-channel strategy,
channel management, segment management, lead management, contact strategy and
delivering on commercial KPI´s as optimal channel mix, gross profit and market
share per segment. In addition, you will drive both Channel- and Commercial
Board in TDC Erhverv.
Hence, the position is centered around strategy,
commercial optimization, transformation and top management exposure in TDC
Erhverv and wider Nuuday organization. It´s a career role in a high paced
environment where this could be your first people management role, while
utilizing both core consulting toolbox, strategy skills and business acumen.
The position reports to Chief Commercial Officer, SVP – whom also has a tier 1
consulting background prior to joining TDC. Part of your daily job will also be
to support him. Primari responsibilities - some handled by you and others by the team you lead - include:
- Segment strategy, Multi-channel & contact strategy
- Sales performance management
- Channel management including channel budget (approximately 1 billion DKK Gross Profit)
- Lead management (prioritization, tracking and follow-up on processing of leads on standard campaigns etc.)
- Driving both Channel Board and Commercial Board in TDC Erhverv
- Sales acquisition cost / subsidy governance
- Performance marketing budget allocation
- Select sales push activities
- Other strategic / coordinating activities and projects of strategic and commercial importance
- Build, lead and develop a best in class Channel Excellence team with highly motivated and inspired squad members
- … and take a senior role in the organization coaching, inspiring, and nurturing results for peers and colleagues
Location
of the position is TDC Erhverv and Nuuday´s Headquarter at Teglholmsgade in
Copenhagen.
Your profile as the desired candidate
Your professional background and qualifications should overall include:
- Relevant Master’s degree in business, finance, engineering with top results
- At least 2½-4 years experience as top tier management consultant preferably having worked with commercial strategy / -management. You may already have left consulting, now at least with 3-6 years of experience and currently in a senior position within Strategy, Business Development, Commercial Management or similar
- A solid strategy and / or commercial toolbox
- Leadership experience from leading e.g. a strategy-, business development or consulting team will be an asset but with the right potential this could also be your first position with people management
- Telco and / or technology understanding / interest is advantageous
- Written and spoken English to negotiation level. Fluency in Danish will be a clear advantage

- Strong oral and written communicator on all levels including top management and with a natural flair for stakeholder management
