The position as Quantitative Developer is located in the team Analytics, Prices & Tools which is part of the Group Finance Organisation in Ørsted, however physically located next to the trading floor and sales business. The team supports Ørsted´s energy transformation through being responsible for providing high-quality analytics and tools to support decision making in Markets, Sales and Finance. The team develops and implements quantitative tools for valuation and optimisation of energy assets and trading in close cooperation with traders and asset managers. Further, the team is responsible for models for forward curves, tools for forecasting complex prices and providing internal and external market price data.


Responsibilities

As Quantitative Developer you will participate in a wide range of quantitative analytics activities taking point of departure in financial and statistical models primarily developed by the team in Python, C++, C#, Matlab and SAS. You will be part of a team consisting of around 10 dedicated and highly quantitively skilled colleagues – mainly in their early 30´es – working closely together and sharing knowledge. Way of working is in an agile environment based on the SAFe framework. The position reports to Senior Manager of Analytics, Prices & Tools. Your key tasks will be to:

Location of the position is Ørsted’s site at Teknikerbyen 25, 2830 Virum in the Greater Copenhagen area. Travel activity in the position is limited and estimated to 0-5 days a year.

As a person you have excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills and thrive in an agile setting in a high-paced and changing environment. You have a structured approach to tasks with high complexity yet still able to find a creative approach finding new solutions to solve problems. You deliver swiftly and in  high quality and the same time as contributing to the collaborative and unformal atmosphere in the team. Helping your colleagues and creating good relationships with your stakeholders is natural for you. Finally, you enjoy working with both ad-hoc tasks and quantitative development projects, and always have relevant stakeholders in mind when solving the issues at hand.
