SimCorp is a leading provider of highly specialized software and financial know-how for the financial sector. Established in 1971, with approximately 1,100 employees. SimCorp is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange Copenhagen. The SimCorp system, SimCorp Dimension, is sold, implemented and supported by the head office in Copenhagen and the subsidiaries and branches in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Kiev, London, Los Angeles, Munich, New York, Oslo, Paris, Stockholm, Sydney, Toronto, Vienna, and Zurich. 

SimCorp’s customers include international banks, insurance companies and investment managers throughout the world. In 2011 SimCorp reported a revenue of EUR 194.8 m (DKK 1.45bn) and posted EBIT of EUR 46.3m (DKK 345m). SimCorp is a knowledge based company where more than 80% of the employees hold an academic degree, most of them within financing, economics,  computer science or engineering. Investing a significant amount of the revenue in R&D further demonstrates the company’s extensive commitment to its product and its clients.

SimCorp is looking for a Human Capital Business Partner to join the Corporate HR function named Group Human Capital (HC). The position will -  in close collaboration with a HC Business Partner colleague - be responsible for HR in the global "Product" business unit consisting of the Research & Development, Product Management and Strategic Research Departments which have a significant size and impact in SimCorp.

The area you personally support within the Product division will be Strategic Research, Product Management and a few other R&D units, in total around 150 employees located at HQ in Copenhagen which is a truly international environment with more than 500 employees of 30 nationalities.  The position reports to the Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Human Capital who reports to executive management team.

The Department
The Group HC department consists of 5 dedicated and competent HC Business Partners, a Mobility Consultant, Organisational Development Consultant, an HR Assistant and a couple of student employees. A few more senior HR profiles are expected to join the HC department during the coming months. Outside HQ in Copenhagen there are approximately 12 other HR profiles providing local / regional HR support to subsidiaries and branches.

The vision is continuously to build a Group HC function which contributes significantly to SimCorp’s ability to attract, retain and develop high performing people, to ensure “the best people in the industry”. Furthermore, an objective is to further boost Group HC´s recognition as a professional and pro-active partner of the line organization. To support this HC Business Partner roles were implemented in January 2012 which has been warmly received by business units and with HC Business Partners taking active part in management teams.

Group HC has well-defined and well-functioning HR processes, tools, systems and practices within performance management, recruitment, competence management and a management / leadership academy. Challenges over the next years are expected to continue the journey of supporting and influencing business managers to an even larger extent; anchoring, coordinating and aligning HR processes globally; establishing HR metrics; taking a more active part in com & ben and building up talent management.

The Job
As HC Business Partner you will be responsible for providing business value adding HR support ranging from executive management to first line managers and driving and implementing recurring activities on the "HC Wheel". You are supported by competent HC colleagues but it is also important that you thrive on delivering HC solutions to the business units you support by yourself which makes the position comprise of strategic as well as more operational HR challenges. The position makes it possible to work in-depth with the HC Business Partner role. Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

- Shape, drive and implement strategic HC initiatives and project

- Provide high-quality guidance and support for the development of people management solutions that will contribute to the implementation and achievement of the business strategy and objectives

- Act as a partner to the senior leaders on a day-to-day basis, through your participation in strategic as well as operational HC tasks; hereunder recruitment, competence development, employee performance appraisals and salary adjustments

- Coach, support, mentor and challenge line managers in the application of HC policies and practices and provide advice and guidance on complex HC issues

- Employee Relations (Employment contracts, compensation, benefits, law, working conditions, international assignments)

- Ensure that all relevant legislative requirements are embedded in the development of project and policy work and in advice provided to line managers and employees

Facilitate processes, workshops and team development, e.g. with point of departure in MBTI

Drive and support organisational surveys such as employee satisfaction surveys and 360 degree evaluations and advice the Management Team on best practices and possible action plans

- Providing career development programs, encompassing motivational and reward strategies, challenging work assignments and other on-the-job learning initiatives that will lead to career advancement and retention of high performing employees

The position is located at SimCorp’s HQ, Weidekampsgade 16, 2300 Copenhagen S. The job is not expected to entail more than 5-10 days of travelling annually. 

Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a Masters degree within business, economics, humanities or the like, preferably with specialization in HR. Furthermore, you possess the following qualifications:

- At least 5 years of experience from a similar position as HR Partner, HR Manager or HR Consultant from a knowledge intensive company

- A broad experience, competence and interest within most of the HR disciplines: HR legal, HRD, performance management, compensation & benefits, recruitment etc. - in particular HR legal and HRD experience would be appreciated

- Experience within JTI / MBTI and Master Management’s MPA tools would be an advantage but not a must

- Fluency in written and spoken English as SimCorp's corporate language is English
